Between the end of January and until July, but especially between March and May, the 2024 open day will be held at all the universities in Catalonia (Barcelona, Girona, Lleida and Tarragona).
What are university open days and what do they consist of?
The 2024 open day is the perfect opportunity for all those baccalaureate students who are still not sure what they want to study and would like to get to know the university environment and facilities a little better.
The open days dedicated to families are also ideal to attend with your parents or other companions who can help you make your decision.
At Unihabit, we believe that the open days are the perfect way to start finding the answers to all those questions that are going through your head at the moment: Which degree do I like best? How much does the first-year registration fee cost? What do I have to do to enrol? How do I find a student residence hall for the university?

Open Day 2024: why study at Catalan universities?
The Catalan university system began in the 13th century, which reads fast but means a lot. We are talking about almost nine centuries of evolution of regulated higher education studies in what is now the autonomous community of Catalonia. That is why, based on effort, internationalisation, the experience of constantly improving practical study programmes and experienced professionals, Catalonia’s bachelor’s and master’s degrees are one of the most reputable options for studying in Europe.
We would like to give you some of the reasons to study in Catalonia and other relevant information to consider Catalan universities as a good bet for your regulated higher education.
- High percentage of satisfaction with their studies, as 7 out of 10 students are satisfied with their education.
- 84% of graduates have a job in line with their level of studies.
- Catalonia has 2 business schools in the TOP10 of the European ranking.
- Wide range of bachelor’s and master’s degrees at all levels of knowledge, as well as a high level of specification in studies that facilitates international student exchange.
- Technological excellence and innovation with practical training in the field of work as well as research-related training.
- A wide range of higher education institutions specialising in different sectors.
Take the opportunity to visit our halls of residence on the day of your university visit!
Another big question you’ll need to find the answer to is accommodation. Flat rents are rising year after year, and finding a comfortable room is sometimes no easy task.
With that in mind, when you have finished visiting the open doors of the UB or of universities with campuses in Barcelona, we would be delighted if you would drop by our residence hall in Ciutat Vella, located at Plaça de les Caramelles 5, to see first-hand everything we have to offer or our student flats in the central Gràcia neighbourhood.
If your university is in Girona, you may also visit our residence hall in Girona. Or if your university is in Sant Cugat or you decide to study at the universities of central Catalonia, visit our residence hall in Manresa.
We have the best rooms, with all the comforts you can think of, together with facilities that will leave you open-mouthed: a large and modern communal kitchen, study and relaxation rooms, large common spaces, parking for bicycles…
As for the rooms, you will find single, double and triple rooms, for you to choose according to your needs. You should also know that our residence hall in Barcelona is very well connected with the main metro and bus lines of the city, and you will reach any part of Barcelona in less than 30 minutes!
Can you imagine starting university surrounded by new classmates and friends? Unihabit makes it possible with our university residences! In them, you will share unique and special moments during your university stay with other students.
